This Cookie Policy explains how AdCreator AI ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://adcreator-ai.com.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website operators. We also use localStorage, a similar browser-based storage mechanism.
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| token | JWT authentication token — keeps you logged in | 7 days | HTTP-only cookie |
| session | Session management and CSRF protection | Session (until browser closes) | HTTP-only cookie |
These store your preferences to enhance your experience.
| Storage Key | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| darkMode | Remembers your dark/light mode preference | Persistent | localStorage |
| ui_preferences | Stores UI settings (sidebar state, layout options) | Persistent | localStorage |
We collect analytics data to understand how visitors use our public website (adcreator-ai.com) and our Shopify App Store listing, so we can improve them. Some of this is logged by our own servers (table below). We also use the third-party analytics services listed in the second table, which may set cookies or use similar browser storage. The AdCreator app that runs inside your Shopify admin does not load any of these services.
| Data Collected | Purpose | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Page views | Understand which pages are most visited | Logged server-side via API |
| UTM parameters | Track marketing campaign effectiveness | utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign from URL |
| Referrer | Understand where visitors come from | document.referrer, logged on page load |
| IP address | Geographic analytics and abuse prevention | Logged server-side |
First-party measurement cookies. On our public website (adcreator-ai.com, not the app inside your Shopify admin) our own server sets the cookies below, only to count how many people reach each step from a first visit to an install or sign-up, and which pages and campaigns brought them. They contain a random ID or the tags of your first visit, never your name or email, and are not shared with anyone or used for advertising. A small script on our pages (/js/fe.js) tells our server once per page that you interacted with it (scrolled, clicked, typed or filled a field); it does not send what you typed, does not record your screen or mouse, and does not fingerprint your device. We do not set adc_ft for visits we detect as automated. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser (see section 3) and the site works the same.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| adc_aid | A randomly generated visitor ID, so steps from the same browser are counted once and linked together (for example a first visit and a later sign-up) | 1 year | First-party, HTTP-only, Secure, SameSite=Lax |
| adc_sid | Marks that a visit is in progress (value "1"), so clicking between our pages is not counted as a new visit | 30 minutes, renewed while you browse | First-party, HTTP-only, Secure, SameSite=Lax |
| adc_ft | First-touch attribution: the page you first landed on, the referring site, the campaign (UTM) tags of that visit, and when it happened | 30 days | First-party, HTTP-only, Secure, SameSite=Lax |
| adc_first_src, adc_first_med, adc_first_camp | The campaign (UTM) source, medium and name of your first tagged visit, used to attribute a web sign-up | 30 days | First-party (readable by our pages) |
| Service | What it measures | More info / opt out |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics (Google LLC) | Pages viewed, how visitors arrived (search, referral, campaign), approximate location and device type. Shopify also sends visits to our App Store listing to our Google Analytics. | How Google uses data · Opt-out add-on |
| PostHog | Product analytics: which pages and features visitors use | PostHog privacy |
| Umami | Cookieless page-view counts | Umami privacy |
You can block these services with your browser's cookie and tracker settings (see section 3) without affecting your ability to use AdCreator AI.
